Welcome to FlipIt ("we," "our," or "us"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our card matching game ("the App").

By using FlipIt, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.

2. Information We Collect

🔐 Authentication Information (Optional)

If you choose to sign in with Google or Sign in with Apple, we collect the following information from your account to provide a personalized experience and sync your data across devices:

• Email address - Used to identify your account and sync your subscription status
• Display name - Used to personalize your experience and display on leaderboards
• Profile photo - Used to display your profile picture in the app
• User ID - A unique identifier to link your scores and subscription to your account

Important: Signing in is completely optional. You can use the app as a guest without providing any personal information. However, signing in enables features like cross-device sync and Pro subscription management.

👤 Player Name

For guest users (not signed in), we collect a player name you provide to display on leaderboards. This is stored locally on your device and in our cloud database when you submit a score. For signed-in users, we use your display name from your authentication provider.

💎 Subscription Information

If you purchase FlipIt Pro, we store your subscription status in your user account to sync across devices and restore purchases. This includes:

• Subscription type (Free or Pro)
• Purchase date
• Games played count
• Total score statistics

Note: We do not store payment information. All purchases are processed securely through the App Store.

🏆 Game Scores

When you complete a game, we collect and store:

• Your player name or display name
• Game topic and difficulty level
• Completion time
• Number of clicks/moves
• Accuracy percentage

📊 Analytics Data

We use Google Firebase Analytics to understand how the App is used. This may include:

• Device type and operating system
• App usage patterns
• Crash reports
• General geographic location (country/region)

3. How We Use Your Information

The information we collect is used to:

• Account Management: Email and display name are used to create and manage your account, sync your subscription status across devices, and restore purchases
• Personalization: Display name and profile photo are used to personalize your experience in the app
• Leaderboards: Display your scores and rankings on global leaderboards
• Progress Tracking: Track your personal best scores, games played, and statistics
• App Improvement: Analyze usage patterns to improve the App's performance and user experience
• Support: Use your email address to respond to support requests (if you contact us)

We do not: Sell your data, share it with third parties for marketing purposes, or use it for advertising outside of the app.

4. Data Storage & Security

Your data is stored using:

• Local Storage: Player preferences and scores are stored locally on your device
• Firebase Cloud: User profiles, authentication data, leaderboard scores, and subscription information are stored in Google Firebase servers with industry-standard security and encryption

We implement appropriate security measures to protect your data against unauthorized access or alteration. Authentication is handled securely through Google and Apple's authentication services, and we never store your passwords.

5. Third-Party Services

FlipIt uses the following third-party services:

• Google Firebase - for data storage, authentication, and analytics
• Google Sign-In - for user authentication (optional)
• Sign in with Apple - for user authentication (optional, iOS only)
• Apple App Store - for processing in-app purchases

These services have their own privacy policies. We encourage you to review:

Authentication Data: When you sign in with Google or Apple, your authentication is handled securely by these providers. We only receive the information you authorize (email, display name, profile photo) and do not have access to your passwords or other account credentials.

6. Children's Privacy

FlipIt is a family-friendly game suitable for all ages. For children under 13:

• Guest users can play without providing any personal information (only a player name for leaderboards)
• If a child signs in with Google or Apple, we collect the same information as for adult users (email, display name, profile photo) as provided by the authentication provider
• Parents can contact us to request deletion of their child's data at any time

We do not knowingly collect additional personal information from children beyond what is necessary for account creation and gameplay.

7. Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access: Request a copy of your stored data, including your user profile, scores, and subscription information
• Delete: Request deletion of your account, user profile, leaderboard entries, and all associated data
• Correction: Update or correct your display name and profile information
• Opt-out: Sign out of your account or use the app as a guest. Clear local storage data by uninstalling the App
• Data Portability: Request your data in a portable format

8. Data Retention

We retain your data as follows:

• User Accounts: Retained until you request deletion or your account is inactive for an extended period
• Leaderboard Scores: Retained indefinitely to maintain competitive rankings (unless you request deletion)
• Subscription Information: Retained for as long as your account is active to manage your Pro subscription
• Local Data: Retained on your device until you clear the App's data or uninstall it

You can request deletion of your account and all associated data at any time by contacting us.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Last Updated" date.
